Shovel First Actually, applying BEFORE the storm is best, but not always practical. Be sure to shovel or plow the area, removing most of the snow before using ice melter.
Sprinkle, Sprinkle More is not better when it comes to ice melter. When too much is spread, the wasted granules are left to be tracked in to buildings. Too much ice melter can also be hard on vegetation and concrete.

Meet Paula, HDi Sales Rockstar for 27 years:
I am passionate about helping others and take pride in keeping things neat, clean, organized. Family is incredibly important to me, and I love bringing people together through shared experiences. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, gardening, and spending time with my two sons, ages 30 and 25. I also have a husband who puts up with me working all the time and enjoys my playful sense of humor. My life is centered around creating a warm and welcoming environment for those I care about.
1. In a medium saucepan, melt margarine. Add sugar and corn syrup..
2. Stir and bring mixture to a boil. Let boil for 5 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and add vanilla and baking soda. Stir until fully combined.
4. Lay popcorn out on two cookie sheets. (Half on one and half on the other. You can use one for all of it, but I find I have an easier time stirring if I use two.)
5. Pour caramel mixture over popcorn. Stir to cover the popcorn.
6. Bake in a 200° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
7. Cool on foil or wax wax paper.

Makes 4 Servings
1. Heat oven to 450°F. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
2. Arrange the bacon in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet and roast until browned and beginning to crisp, 12 to 15 minutes; transfer to a paper towel-lined plate (the bacon will crisp as it cools). Break into pieces once cool.
3. On a second rimmed baking sheet, toss the sweet potato with the oil, thyme and 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Roast in the same oven as the bacon for 12 minutes. Toss the potatoes and continue roasting until golden brown and tender, 6 to 9 minutes more.
4. Meanwhile, cook the pasta as label directs. Reserve 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid, drain the pasta and return it to the pot.
5. Toss the pasta with the mascarpone until the pasta is coated, then toss with the Cheddar until melted, adding some of the reserved pasta water if the pasta seems dry. Fold in the sweet potato and bacon and sprinkle with additional thyme, if desired.

Makes 5-6 skewers
Marinade:
Skewers:
1. Mix all the marinade ingredients together in a small bowl.
2. Place the chicken in a bowl and pour on three-quarters of the marinade (save the rest for brushing on the chicken during cooking). Cover and place in the fridge for 1 hour (or up to a day).
3. Soak your skewers if they're wooden ones (to prevent them from burning) or use metal skewers.
4. When you're ready to cook, heat your BBQ or griddle until it's very hot.
5. Thread a piece of chicken onto a skewer, followed by a chunk of red pepper, then a piece of chicken and a slice of onion. Repeat until you use up all the skewers and chicken. Discard any of the marinade left in the bowl.
6. Place the skewers on the BBQ or griddle, and cook for 8-10 minutes until cooked through. Turn 3-4 times during cooking, and brush with the reserved marinade half way through cooking. To check the chicken is cooked, slice open the largest piece and make sure it's no pink in the middle.
7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and coriander
